Cursed beauty
Once upon a time in a faraway land
A girl, young and naive, had her whole life planned
She served her beloved goddess, obeyed each command
Then one day betrayal - she was hurt and banned pop
One of the other gods, not caring about "no"
Decided she'd be happy now, becoming his hoe
She cried and cried, not saved by some hero
So she obeyed, to the terrors she had to forgo
And it is said that her goddess, cruel as gods can be
Decided to punish her, wouldn't let her flea
Turned her into monster and sent her to the sea
To a faraway land, where no one could see
That's an unfair story, I think you understand
She shouldn't be punished, for what other's planned
She shouldn't be hated, all alone and banned
All for other's crimes, so misunderstand
But if you're quiet now, you'll see through monolith
And if you try to focus, you'll hear a different myth
She served her goddess with love
and love is what she received
The other god was above
But she deeply grieved
What happened to that poor girl
Her fate was undeserved
So with her hair in a curl
She decided that was it, and justice was served
She turned her former servant
Into something new
Protected her from the hunt
That the men always do
With power to turn to stone
Anyone that tries to hurt her
The girl created her new zone
Away from all the were
And yet they tried to hunt her down
Wanting to use her body
Her world again upside-down
Nothing as it should be
With men always just like this
She didn't stand a chance
She tried to scare them, loudly hiss
They didn't let her dance
But her legacy still lives on
Protector of the hurt
Uniting those with horrors forgone
Ready to comfort
The girl has become symbol now
In completely different times
I love her, to her I bow
Medusa loves you, hates their crimes
